Ashley Jordan is Director of Acts of Service. She joined the Community Foundation in December 2019 as the program became part of the organization. She inspires generosity through the gift of time by connecting businesses, social clubs and community partners to nonprofit’s volunteer needs. She has worked as a medical massage therapist with her own business and as a firefighter and first responder for Sturgis, Michigan. She volunteers with Special Olympics, Catsnip Etc. and Loveway. Her heart for older adults resulted in the 2018 Senior Advocacy Award from the Council on Aging. She won the Humanity in Action award from the City of Elkhart for her work during the COVID-19 crisis and honored as part of the Michiana 40 Under 40 in 2022. Ashley has an associate’s degree from Glen Oaks Community College. Her fiancé Ryan has a daughter named Kyra, that she considers her bonus child.  She enjoys kayaking, camping, fishing, reading and of course volunteering. She loves rescuing animals, especially cats. Her superpower is connecting with people.
