As Associate Program Officer, Samantha Lambert works to connect students with the array of scholarships available from the Community Foundation of Elkhart County. She collaborates with the Senior Program Officer to support the Career Pathways Committee by providing information needed to manage a $3 million annual budget. She also plans a variety of events for students and educators, including an annual breakfast for school counselors and brunches related to the awarding of more than 100 scholarships. She supports anyone needing technical assistance applying for grant funding or scholarships.

Lambert previously worked for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Elkhart County as a customer relations specialist. As a volunteer for that organization, she was Elkhart County Rookie Big Sister of the Year in 2012 and Elkhart County Big Sister of the Year in 2016 before being named the 2017 Indiana Big Sister of the Year.

Samantha was a Lilly Intern with the Community Foundation of Elkhart County in 2013 and 2014 and was an AmeriCorps Service Member with the American Red Cross of Elkhart County in 2012 and 2013. She was a Disaster Action Team member from 2012 to 2018 and deployed following Superstorm Sandy. She has been active on the planning committee for Elkhart’s EnviroFest and was its Volunteer of the Year in 2014 and 2015.

She has an associate’s and bachelor’s degree and recently earned her master’s degree in both governmental and non-profit administration and policy, all from Indiana University South Bend. She graduated from the Elkhart Leadership Academy of the Greater Elkhart Chamber of Commerce in 2018.

She and her husband, Will, married in 2018. They have one daughter and care for two rescue dogs, a pit bull named Johnny Blaze who was rescued from a fire and a Rottweiler named Tori.
