The Coffee Talk on April 15, 2021, features nonprofit oversight and accounting designed to introduce basic nonprofit fiduciary responsibility to individuals with limited or no experience with finance and accounting.

As a nonprofit organization, you rely on public trust to do your work. That is why it is so important that nonprofits continuously earn the public’s trust through their commitment to ethical principles, transparency, and accountability.

Some questions we will cover in this one:
• Do your thank you communications to donors offer a value statement or transparency to how their gift will be used towards your mission?
• Is your board reviewing the Form 990 before it is filed and do you post it to your website afterwards for transparency?
• What are your policies related to disclosing and managing conflicts of interest and do you have a strong whistleblower process in place?
• Does your organization conduct an annual audit and is your board engaged directly with the audit firm to discuss the results?

Join us at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 15, for this online Coffee Talk.
