You are invited to join us, in person, for our annual Continuing Education seminar on Wednesday, October 21 at Elcona Country Club.
National Estate Planning speaker and Senior Wealth Strategist, Susan P. Rounds, will present a three-hour continuing education opportunity:
FAMILY DYNAMICS & INTERGENERATIONAL CONFLICT:  PRESERVING FAMILY WEALTH AND HARMONY
Under the hard glass of the “money magnifier” the unique qualitative issues and challenges of wealth in families come to the forefront. Susan will highlight some necessary fundamentals and practical tools to help advisors navigate the sometimes rocky landscape of financial families, including:
  • Understanding money beliefs and associations;
  • The fundamentals of trust beneficiary communications,
  • Planning and hosting family meetings; and,
  • Drafting family mission statements.
TRANSITION BY DESIGN: SUCCESSFUL SUCCESSION OF THE PRIVATELY HELD BUSINESS AND WEALTH
All privately-held businesses will transition at some point – either by design or by default. During this presentation, Susan will identify and examine the key drivers that underlie both the dynamics of the business and the dynamics of the family. She will:
  • Build on this understanding, and take us to the next phase utilizing a three-pronged approach to design an integrated business succession plan that aligns the goals and objectives of the business with the goals and objectives of the family.
  • Discuss strategic opportunities and pre-transaction planning steps to optimize the chosen path,
  • Identify changing demographics of business owners; and,
  • Examine changing paradigms in the world of business
