Each applying student will complete the application and return it to their respective Middle School Counselor. The school counselor and math teacher(s) at each school will then review the completed applications from which they may select one nominee. Original applications for the top nominee will then be delivered to the Community Foundation.
The Community Foundation Career Pathways Committee will review the nominee applications and select one winner. The winner of the John G. Blakesley Mathematical Excellence Scholarship will be awarded $1,250 a year for each of four years for a total award of $5,000. A new winner will be selected each year. As the fund increases, so may the number and amount of future awards.
