Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship

Since 1998, the Community Foundation has been a proud partner of the Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship (LECS) Program, which has provided more than 70 students from Elkhart County with the financial means to complete a post-secondary education.

The 2016 LECS application timeline.
September 12, 2016 Application Deadline. High school seniors submit application to their respective school.
September 23, 2016 Each school will report its nomination to the Community Foundation.
October 24, 2016 Nominee Interview Day. All students selected as their school nominee are required to attend.
October 26, 2016 The Community Foundation Scholarship Committee will meet to determine LECS nominees.
October 31, 2016 The Community Foundation will report its nominees to ICI.
December 9, 2016 ICI will notify the Community Foundation of LECS recipients.
December 16, 2016 LECS and Guy David Gundlach Memorial Scholarship recipients will be notified.
TBD The Community Foundation Scholarship Banquet. All students selected as their school nominee and their families are requested to attend.
March 1, 2017 LECS recipients must notify the Community Foundation of the college they plan to attend.
