Marshall V. King is the Director of Communications for the Community Foundation and oversees its media relations, brand management and social media. He worked as a freelance writer for the foundation starting in 2016 after leaving a local newspaper after more than 20 years as an award-winning reporter, editor and columnist. He joined the foundation full-time in late 2019. Marshall serves as the president of the Historic Racemere Peninsula Neighborhood Association and has been a volunteer with Elkhart County Jail Ministry, Real Men Read and Developing RedHawks Intentionally with Volunteer Engagement. He continues work as a food writer and has raised more than $150,000 for local nonprofits as a celebrity chef. He enjoys cooking, baking, kayaking, playing disc golf. He is a member of Assembly Mennonite Church and the Goshen Noon Kiwanis Club. He is an adjunct professor of communication at Goshen College. His superpower is stringing words together quickly.
