INSPIRE SERVICE

Acts of Service

Acts of Service is a community service hub that is a free resource, open to all community partners who want to make a positive difference in the world. Acts of Service connects those local volunteers with community service opportunities. It helps match the needs of nonprofit organizations and the willing hands of individual community partners. Nonprofits share their current and upcoming volunteer needs and Acts of Service volunteers sign up to fill those needs. A growing number of businesses — now more than 35 — have joined the effort to engage employees in the community as volunteers.

Bontrager Family

SELECTING AND MAKING A GIFT

Even before Jayco Inc. was founded in 1968, Lloyd and Bertha Bontrager committed themselves to tithing and giving to charitable causes. Following the sale of Jayco to Thor Industries, the family’s new Bontrager Family Foundation will perpetuate giving for generations to come as part of the Community Foundation of Elkhart County.

GENEROSITY MULTIPLIED

Assets by Fund Type

Since 1989, we have been working with passionate individuals, families, organizations, and businesses who are building a stronger community by supporting causes that strengthen and improve Elkhart County. Once we understand a donor's goals through giving and establish their intent, we work with them to decide on which funding option best brings their vision to life.
