April 26-27: NPO Leadership Retreat

The Community Foundation is excited to offer the 12th annual leadership retreat. Since 2005, the Community Foundation has offered a complimentary nonprofit leadership retreat for agencies serving Elkhart County.  We hope to show how much we value our partnership with local nonprofits!  This year will be no different as we will continue to provide interactive workshops, networking opportunities and free time to simply recharge.

Joining us this year are Heidi Weiker and Jason Franklin. Heidi and Jason are the perfect pair for you to learn and relax with us for two days!

Heidi Wieker is the co-owner of Spherica LLC, master instructor, coach and author.  Heidi has more than 25 years of experience in private and corporate consultation, coaching and counseling, and in curriculum design and instruction. Her expertise and insight come from her passion for research and her extensive experience, which ranges from working with global leadership teams to inner city gangs. Heidi is known for designing and teaching strategies, workshops and programs that cultivate positive-minded cultures, inner resiliency, connected leadership and enlightened communication.

Jason is the Kellogg Community Philanthropy Chair for the Johnson Center for Philanthropy at Grand Valley State University. As the holder of the nation’s first endowed chair focused on community philanthropy, he is developing a program of research, teaching, service, and thought leadership to explore and advance the field of community philanthropy, nationally and internationally. He brings to this work a background in grant making and donor education, nonprofit strategy and leadership, social entrepreneurship, and urban policy advocacy.
