Series: Coffee Talk
The Coffee Talk on Thursday, April 23, will feature Pete McCown, president of the Community Foundation of Elkhart County, talking about how he sees our community coming together in inspiring ways during this time. The collaboration, generosity, and work to help others during this crisis are remarkable. McCown will share his perspective and be available for questions.
The Coffee Talk on Tuesday, April 21, will feature Tamela Spicer. Many are wondering if it’s appropriate to be fundraising during this pandemic, particularly if your organization isn’t doing direct service. The answer is yes. And no. Join us for a conversation on how to press into donor relationships and know what to ask for as we prepare for reentry and recovery.
For this week's Thursday afternoon Coffee Talk we will look at how to help those in need whose first language isn't English. Since marginalized people become even more vulnerable in emergencies, Watershed Consulting and The Learning Center at the Community Foundation of Elkhart County are developing a tele-interpretation initiative to strengthen the capacity of Elkhart County agencies to serve those with limited English proficiency.
For this week's Tuesday morning Coffee Talk we are having a Town Hall meeting, a live forum to connect and for participants to share experiences. Inspire and motive others with things we have learned in the short amount of time that COVID-19 has taken over our world and lives. We will be highlighting a few success stories from partners or maybe a sharing of tools and best practices during this time of remote working.
